mapp Asset Intensity calculates the effectiveness of a machine based on its production data. The calculated data is then prepared for display in the form of a list or graph or made available for export.

mapp Audit collects and manages a wide range of different events. These include when user-defined events occur, when machine operators log in/out or when an alarm occurs. All events are collected and can be exported with password protection to protect them from tampering.

mapp CodeBox makes it possible to program directly at the machine via the HMI application. The behavior of the machine can thus be changed without an additional engineering tool. There is basic access via Ladder Diagram and high-level language access via Structured Text.

mapp Energy collects energy data from various modules in the machine and prepares the data so that energy consumption can be visualized. In addition, data is collected and made available as a file for analysis.

mapp Report makes it possible to generate PDF reports directly at the machine. A wide range of data can be included in the report, such as diagnostic data or current production values. These reports can then be localized and exported in a user-specified design.

Basic license for mapp Services Required to use extended functions of the mapp Technology Package. This license includes mapp AlarmX (alarm management), mapp IO (dynamic hardware configuration), mapp User (user management), mapp Alarm (alarm management with reference to VC4), mapp File (file explorer), mapp Skyline (visualization of a machine line in combination with a mapp View widget), mapp J1939 (SAE J1939 protocol) and mapp Recipe (recipe management).

The corporate license allows the use of Automation Studio by all users at a company at all of a company's sites, including all associated companies, for a period of one year. With the corporate license, it is permitted to license Automation Studio on a B&R Automation PC that is delivered with the machine if it can be guaranteed that only service personnel working for the machine or plant manufacturer will have access to that instance of Automation Studio. Licensing takes place via activation over the Internet. After one year, the license will automatically be extended an additional year and invoiced accordingly as long as the license has not been canceled before expiration.

The resell license is a single-user license. It is intended exclusively for resale to machine and plant operators. It enables maintenance and diagnostics of existing machines and systems and their software. The license is stored in a software license container that is permanently bound to the computer. Transferring the license to another computer is therefore not possible. This license does not expire. Creating a new project and upgrades from the Internet are not supported. This license is supported starting with version 4.9.
